original work on paper by bradley.
part of “Found Forms” limited series.
acrylic and charcoal on 18×24 inch mixed media paper.
This ongoing series of female figures is created with the excess paint left on my brushes while working on other projects. Rather than waste the paint, I smear it onto blank sheets of watercolor paper. Once the paint has dried, I study the shapes and lines left behind until I find a figure. Using charcoal, I trace the figure left behind by chance and randomness, connecting marks and brushstrokes and filling in the blanks.
